A New Lifestyle

Getting your first prosthesis is an extremely exciting process. Many of our patients tell us they still remember the first time they put on their prosthesis. We are dedicated to making those memories with all of our patients; it is one of the things we enjoy most. Even experienced amputees will attest to the excitement of a “new leg day!”

With every new prosthesis you receive, you will need to pay attention to your practitioner’s instructions on how to use the device. Differences in components, socket technologies and soft goods will require you to learn new ways of caring for your prosthesis and supplies. You can find general tips for taking care of your limb here.

We have also compiled a list of some of our favorite resources that you may access in the event you need them.
